Adriana Magni is an experience design advisor and creative leader with 18+ years at the intersection of science, culture, learning, and design. She has shaped interactive exhibitions and visitor experiences for world-renowned museums and global brands across four continents, from natural history and art museums to science centres and cultural institutions, translating complex content into experiences that invite wonder, spark curiosity, and build lasting connections.
Adriana leads with both creative vision and strategic intent. She contributes from the earliest stages of a project: shaping concepts, aligning stakeholders, and using prototyping as a tool to reduce risk and support better decisions. Her work bridges the physical and digital, bringing together spatial storytelling, interactive media, and human behaviour into coherent systems that drive engagement and repeat visitation.
Over the past years, she has expanded her practice into business development, building client relationships at the highest levels of the museum and cultural sectors. She leads multidisciplinary teams of designers, content creators, developers, and artists with clarity and care.
A TEDx speaker whose talk on prototyping as a life skill was selected as an Editor's Pick, Adriana also serves as a guest lecturer and external evaluator at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, speaks at international conferences, delivers workshops at Latin American universities, and contributes to podcasts on design and creative leadership. She is based in Delft, Netherlands, and works in English, Spanish, and Dutch.

Expertise

What makes me different

01

The full experience, not just a piece

I work at the intersection of exhibition design, interactive media, and visitor experience, bringing strategic and creative coherence across the whole journey.

02

Strategy and execution in one person

I advise on experience strategy at the senior level and have also led the projects myself, concept to installation. I understand the gap between a vision and what can actually be built, and how to close it.

03

Test before you invest

I help organisations prototype their thinking early and embrace iteration. Using prototyping as a strategic tool for validating ideas, reducing risk, aligning stakeholders, and making better decisions.

04

Cross-cultural depth

Shaped by living and working across four continets, I bring genuine cultural intelligence and empathy to each project.

05

Contagious motivation, lasting capability

Great experiences are built by teams who believe in what they're making. I bring the energy, empathy, and creative conviction that gets multidisciplinary teams aligned, motivated, and moving, and that feeling tends to outlast the project.

06

Public communicator

TEDx Editor's Pick. University lecturer. Conference speaker. Podcast guest. I love contributing to how the experience design field thinks about itself and where it's going.

My focus is on experience frameworks and systems that connect narrative, space, and interaction.

Speaker

Conferences, Podcasts & Events

Sharing knowledge is part of who I am. On stages and podcasts, I want to inspire others to create experiences that resonate with different audiences, that are meaningful, create genuine connection, and that stay with people long after they leave the room.

Teams

Workshop Facilitator

Hands-on sessions for museum teams, design departments, educators, and corporate groups. Participants don't just hear about design thinking, they experience it, prototype real challenges, leave with a different mindset and practical tools they can use.

Education

Guest Lecturer & External Evaluator

There is nothing more fulfilling watching a student's thinking expand. I bring real projects, honest failures, and overarching frameworks into the classroom, challenging students to think beyond the brief, connect the dots, and design with ambition and meaning.
